This policy explains what information Scouted Club ("we," "us") collects through scoutedclub.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your email address and whether you want to post finds or shop, when you join the waitlist or apply to be a Scout. If you become a Scout, we may also collect your name, social media handles and payment and tax details needed to pay you.
- Information collected automatically. Basic usage data such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected by our hosting and analytics providers.
- Affiliate tracking. When you click a link to another store, that store or its affiliate network may set cookies to record that you came from Scouted Club. Those cookies are governed by the other company's privacy policy.
How we use it
- To send you updates about Scouted Club's launch and your waitlist or Scout application.
- To operate, secure and improve the site.
- To track which finds lead to purchases, so we can earn commissions and pay Scouts.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting provider, form and email tools, and affiliate networks, and only as needed for them to provide their services. We may also share information if required by law.
Your choices
- Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@scoutedclub.com.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Data retention and security
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Scouted Club is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Scouts must be at least 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. We'll change the date above when we do, and notify waitlist members of material changes by email.
